More Than a Feeling: Helping Students Navigate Intense Emotions (Jolt-087)

Description
Intense emotions can hijack the brain, leaving students with fewer cognitive resources for success at school. However, all emotions, even unpleasant ones, serve an important purpose. In this course, you will explore the valuable functions of (both pleasant and unpleasant) feelings and how feelings can manifest in the body. You will be introduced to two powerful skill sets, emotional regulation, and metacognition, to arm you and your students as you help them to navigate intense feelings at school.
